CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

Many things such as sun exposure, cigarette smoke and other pollutants contribute to premature aging of the skin. In addition, the natural aging process causes our skin to lose elasticity and our body to produce less collagen over time. This can result in brown spots, a dulled texture, fine lines and wrinkles. As a result, many patients are unhappy with the appearance, quality, and texture of their skin. Laser skin resurfacing can “turn back time” by restoring a healthier, more youthful complexion and by giving patients smoother, tighter skin.

Skin texture, color and quality is significantly improved. Quad blepharoplasty was also performed.

Our Ultrapulse C02 Laser resurfaces the skin with laser precision following the contours of the face. The depth of treatment is controlled as it removes extremely thin layers lifting off age spots, removing or significantly softening lines and wrinkles, tightening the skin, and triggering new collagen production. All of this dramatically improves the skin’s appearance, quality and texture. Laser skin resurfacing is performed in our own federally approved and Medicare certified operating room. This is an ablative procedure done on an out-patient basis and requires at least two weeks of downtime. If you are interested in significant skin rejuvenation and are a candidate for this procedure, the downtime is well worth the result.

How Should I Protect My New Skin?

Remember that the sun is one of the leading causes of damage to the skin. Many of our patients regret having spent years in the sun without wearing sunscreen. It is never too late to start. And it is especially important to do so diligently after a resurfacing procedure to protect your new skin. Most people get daily sun exposure. To maximize and protect one’s health and appearance, we strongly recommend a daily sunscreen of at least SPF 30 with full spectrum (UVA & UVB) protection.

The Ultrapulse CO2 laser is considered the gold standard in laser skin resurfacing. Dr. Shorr and our surgeons have years of experience achieving beautiful results. Call today to schedule your personal consultation!
